Utah reports four more deaths caused by COVID-19
Three of the deaths occurred before May 26, but were recently confirmed to be coronavirus-related.

The Utah Department of Health reported that a woman between the ages of 15 and 24 was one of four new deaths caused by COVID-19 on Saturday.
Vaccine dose given in the last day / total dose given • 19,910 / 2,838,187.
Fully vaccinated Utahns • 1,376,548.
Cases reported in the last day • 351.
Deaths reported in the last day • Three of these deaths occurred before May 26, and four have only recently been confirmed to be caused by COVID-19.
Salt Lake County reported two deaths: a woman aged 65-84 and a woman aged 15-24 who were residents of a long-term care facility. It is unknown if she was hospitalized at the time of her death.
Cash County reported one death: a man over the age of 85 who was a resident of a long-term care facility. Utah County also reported one death: a 65-84 year old man who was not hospitalized.
Tests reported in the last day • 3,831 people were tested for the first time. A total of 6,807 people were tested.
Hospitalizations reported in the last day • 201. It’s two less than Friday. Of the patients currently hospitalized, 62 are in the intensive care unit, one less than on Friday.
Percentage of positive tests • In a state-specific way, that percentage is 9.1%. This is higher / lower than the 7-day average of 8.9%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests for the same individual. Saturday’s rate was 5.1%, lower than the 7-day average of 5.95%.
