Osage Beach, Missouri (KY3)-Three counties near Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, have been declared COVID-19 hotspots by the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services.

He said they are now seeing more and more patients coming to hospitals in need of treatment for COVID-19.
“About two months ago, there were 1-2 patients per day, perhaps 3-4 patients, but they have risen steadily in the last 6-7 weeks and will be in their late 20s to late 20s on Sundays. I was in my thirties. “
Lake Regional is not sure, but Henry says they speculate that it is due to the delta variant that is sweeping the state.

He said about half of the patients in the hospital needed a ventilator.
“The majority of our ICU patients are COVID positive and at least half of them are on ventilator.”
And it’s starting to wear on his employees.
“I’ve been involved with the emergency room staff many times and we can say that our staff are very tired.”
