More West Nile Positive Mosquitoes Found in York County

York County has further reported mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile virus.

According to a news release on Thursday, the county mosquito surveillance program reported positive samples in York City, Dover District, Dover Township, East Manchester Township, Manchester Township, and Springettsbury Township.

According to the release, additional monitoring, sampling and larval management are taking place in each area where West Nile mosquitoes are found.

The county is asking residents of these areas to help prevent mosquitoes by cleaning the land to eliminate standing water.
