COVID-19, Arkansas: Active Cases Follow Fall 12 Days

Little Rock, Arkansas-Data reported by the Arkansas Department of Health show that the number of hospitals has declined slightly over the past seven days, resulting in a 12-day consecutive decline in active cases in Arkansas.

ADH reported that the number of active cases decreased from 213 to 13,501. This is the lowest number of active cases in the state since July 22nd.

Health officials also reported that viral hospitalizations have decreased from 11 to 956 in the last 24 hours. The number of patients requiring ICU treatment was 414, a decrease of 2 in 24 hours, and the number of patients using mechanical ventilation was 254, a decrease of 2.

In total, the state has reported 1,540 new cases of the virus, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 489,856.

Adults 25-34 were the group that showed the latest 219 cases in the last 24 hours. Patients aged 11-17 years then showed 218 new cases.

The state also reported an additional 20 deaths among patients with COVID-19, pushing the state’s total to 7,548.

Over the last 24 hours, more than 5,119 new COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Arkansas, increasing the number of fully immunized Arkansas by 2,818 to 1,319,004. The number of partially immunized inhabitants has continued to decline and is now 298,696.
