Allegheny Co. Health Dept. announces 38 new coronavirus cases for a total of 1,641 – CBS Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) —Allegheny County Department of Health Coronavirus On Monday, but no more deaths.
The county-wide number of cases since March 14 is currently 1,641 cases, including 1,553 confirmed cases and 88 estimated cases.
Authorities have reported that 294 patients have been hospitalized in all cases, or are currently hospitalized, and have been hospitalized twice more since Sunday reports. Of the inpatients, 120 require ICU care and 67 require ventilator therapy.
The death toll was 143, 132 confirmed and 11 estimated. The chance of death is if the COVID-19 test is not positive.

Of the newly reported cases, 14 are associated with long-term care facilities. Of these, the sample collection date is from May 12 to May 15, 2020.

According to the Ministry of Health, 54% of patients with coronavirus are women and 46% are men.
The highest number of cases is the remaining 34% in the 25-49 age group. The second most common group is 31% in the group aged 65 and over, and the third group is 28% in the group aged 50-64.
Here is a breakdown of the county’s ages:
- 00-04 – 6 (less than 1%)
- 05-12 – 5 (less than 1%)
- 13-18-17 (1%)
- 19-24 – 105 (7%)
- 25-49 years old-543 years old (34%)
- 50-64-453 (28%)
- 65 + — 512 (31%)
Of the newly reported cases, county health officials say 14 people are associated with long-term care facilities. Of these, the sample collection date is from May 12th to May 15th.
Of the 1,641 cases, 235 were from health care workers, the Ministry of Health said.
Health officials say that as of Sunday, there were 23,747 tests conducted throughout the county.
As of Friday, Allegheny County has entered a reopening “yellow phase”.
