Halifax-New Brunswick reports COVID-19-related deaths and 85 new cases on Friday.

People in their 90s died in Zone 1 (Moncton area), bringing the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state to 60.

“On behalf of all New Brunswickers, Marcia and I express our heartfelt condolences to those who mourn the loss of their loved ones,” Prime Minister Brain Higgs said in a release. “Hearing these losses has never been easier and shouldn’t be.”

“It’s important to remember that we lost more than just numbers with this virus. They were hopes, dreams, and loved ones,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, a medical officer of health. Said in.

There are also 97 recoverys, reducing the number of active cases to 677.

Of the new cases, 68% or 80% are not fully vaccinated. Forty-one people were hospitalized for the virus, 15 of whom are in the intensive care unit. Currently, no one under the age of 19 is hospitalized.

Vaccination renewal

According to public health, 80.2 percent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 89.2 percent are first vaccinated.

Access to online immune records

Simplified registration options are now available to improve online access to MyHealthNB’s immunization records.

This new option allows you to register for your My Health NB account without having to book directly at the Hollywood Health Network or the Vitalité Health Network COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic.

People over the age of 16 who have been vaccinated with at least one vaccine in the state and have a valid New Brunswick Medicare number or another Canadian health card number can now register for a MyHealthNB account.

“People who book directly are advised to cancel and use this new option instead,” Russell said.

Cancellations can be made online or by calling 1-833-437-1424.

Regional breakdown of new cases

The 15 new cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region) are:

  • 5 people under 19 years old.

  • 4 people 20-29;

  • Two people 30-39;

  • Two people 40-49;

  • People 50-59; and

  • Person 60-69.

Nine are under investigation and six are contact information for previously confirmed cases.

The 11 new cases in Zone 2 (St. John region) are:

  • Three people under the age of 19.

  • Two people 20-29;

  • Person 30-39;

  • Two people 40-49;

  • Person 50-59;

  • People 60-69; and

  • Person 80-89.

Six are under investigation and five are contact information for previously confirmed cases.

The 21 new cases in Zone 3 (Fredericton region) are:

  • 5 people under 19 years old.

  • Person 20-29;

  • 3 people 30-39;

  • 4 people 40-49;

  • People 50-59;

  • Person 60-69;

  • 3 people 70-79;

  • Person 80-89.

Nineteen cases are under investigation, two are contacts for previously confirmed cases.

The 25 new cases in Zone 4 (Edmanston region) are:

  • 16 people under the age of 19.

  • Person 30-39;

  • Two people 40-49;

  • 4 people 50-59;

  • People 60-69; and

  • People over 90 years old.

16 cases were previously identified cases of contact and 9 cases are under investigation.

The 11 new cases in Zone 5 (Campbellton area) are:

  • 5 people under 19 years old.

  • Person 20-29;

  • Two people 30-39;

  • Person 40-49;

  • People 50-59; and

  • Person 70-79.

Ten cases were previously confirmed case contacts and one is under investigation.

Two new cases in Zone 7 (Miramichi area) are:

  • People under the age of 19.When

Both cases are under investigation.

Cases confirmed in schools and childcare facilities

Positive cases have been confirmed in schools and childcare facilities in Zones 1 (Moncton area), 3 (Fredericton area), 4 (Edmundston area) and 5 (Campbellton area).

  • Zone 1 (Moncton Area) – Positive cases were identified at the following schools: Moncton High School and Beaverbrook School in Moncton. New positive cases have also been identified in the previously affected Moncton Ecole Champlan.

  • Zone 3 (Fredericton Area) – Positive cases have been identified at Centerville Community School. New positive cases have also been identified at the previously affected Hartland Community School. A positive case was confirmed in Center Building Child Care.

  • Zone 4 (Edmundston area) – École Élémentaire Sacré-Coeur in Grand Falls confirmed positive cases. New positive cases were identified at the following schools that were previously affected: Saint-Quentin’s Ecole Manager Martin, Kedgwick’s Ecole Mariga Etan, and Grand Falls’ Polybert Thomas Albert. Positive cases were also confirmed in the Center de Soinset Éducation Mickey & Minnie in St. Andre.

  • Zone 5 (Campbellton area) – New positive cases have been identified in the previously affected Gallion de Appalach in Campbellton.

Since September 7, cases of COVID-19 have been identified in 63 schools and 28 early learning and childcare facilities.
