Akron Children’s Hospital relaxes proper visitor restrictions for coronavirus
Akron, Ohio-Akron Children’s Hospital introduced a new visitor limit in force on Wednesday, increasing the number of adult visitors allowed per child for inpatient care to two.
Hospital systems previously limited visitors to one adult per patient to slow the spread of COVID-19. Two adults are now designated as caregivers for the patient and are allowed at the bedside.
For outpatient visits, only one adult can accompany the patient.
According to the hospital, patients in intensive care units such as PICUs, NICUs, burn units or patients on the hematology / oncology floor are at increased risk of infection and additional restrictions may apply. Please call 330-543-1000 before visiting.
