New data reveals the regions with the highest incidence of coronavirus in Suffolk and northern Essex. The most common infections have been reported in Ipswich and Hevalil.
According to government figures for the week leading up to October 25, zip codes are categorized into areas called the Middle Super Power Area (MSOA), each with a population of approximately 8,000.
Hevalil West has become the region with the highest Covid infection rate in the region, with 93 new infections reaching 1206.7 per 100,000.
This was followed by the Ipswich White House at a rate of 908.3 after recording 80 new cases.
Southwalled, Raydon, and Lentham were the lowest between the two counties at 84.2.
Other areas reporting low rates include the Shotley Peninsula near Braintree, Saxmundham, and Coldfair Green and Bocking.
