New Plymouth Covid-19 new case is household contact information for existing cases

New Plymouth has another case of Covid-19.
The new case The Ministry of Health said in a statement that it was the contact information for the household in the current case and has been quarantined since last week.
Currently, there are two cases of Covid in New Plymouth. Six cases found in Stratford in November have recovered.

The cases are from three linked households and have known links to previously reported cases in Rotorua.
After that, four members of the group left Taranaki and headed to Waikato and Rotorua’s homes.
Gillian Campbell, Covid-19 Response Manager for Taranaki DHB, said new cases are expected given that they are home contacts.
“This person tested negative for Covid-19 last week, but was isolated from a positive family member and subsequently infected with the virus we expected.
“Both cases have been quarantined at home since last week and have been properly cared for and supported.”

The provisional consent of the Pfizer vaccine had 58 conditions, but none of them mean that they are unsafe.
Test volumes are stable across the region, with 392 tests completed on Monday, December 6th.
Campbell said people with symptoms should be tested immediately.

Meanwhile, the area is approaching the 90% mark of full vaccination.
As of December 6, 84% of the eligible population had been fully vaccinated with a second vaccination of 5763 to reach the 90% mark.
At current dose rates, the region will reach its target by Monday, December 20th.
