In addition, 377 deaths from coronavirus in the UK have resulted in up to 37,837 deaths
An additional 377 people died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus, according to the latest Department of Health statistics.
The recent deaths from hospitals, nursing homes, and the wider community have killed 37,837 people in the UK.
119,587 Covid-19 tests were dispatched during the 24-hour period until 9am Thursday.
But on Thursday there was no data on how many were tested.
Altogether, a total of 3,918,079 tests have been submitted, confirming 269,127 positive cases.
However, this does not mean that 3.9 million people have been tested for coronavirus, as many are being tested more than once.
NHS England has announced 185 new deaths in people who test positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths confirmed in hospitals in England to 26,234.
Of the 185 new deaths announced Thursday:
There were 54 new deaths between May 2 and May 24, and the remaining 10 died in April, the earliest on April 10.
In Scotland, a total of 2,316 people died as a result of coronavirus positivity, an increase of 12 from 2,304 on Wednesday, Nicolas Sturgeon confirmed.
As of 9am on May 28th, there were 3,918,079 tests and on May 27th, there were 119,587 tests.

At the Scottish Government’s Coronavirus briefing, Ms. Sturgeon announced that 15,288 virus-positive cases north of the border increased by 48 from 15,240 the day before.
In Northern Ireland, the death toll for those who tested positive for Covid-19 increased to 518 after two more deaths were reported by the Department of Health.
An additional 16 confirmed cases were reported on Thursday, bringing the total to 4,679 cases since the outbreak began.
