Prior to the incident, Brad said Hayden had no symptoms of depression. But Hayden also said he appears to be affected by the loss of communication with his friends and changes in his routine.

Three days before Hayden’s 13th birthday, Brad’s younger child came downstairs from Hayden’s room and said, “Hayden, hung his head.”

In an interview with Fox newsBrad said the suicide of his son was primarily associated with the coronavirus, but not with the virus itself, but with the effect of isolation on his child.

He further supported this claim by saying that suicide was the second most common death in the United States. According to him, between the ages of 10 and 34 die of suicide. About 80% of these are the result of impulsive decision making.
