Seven-day COVID cases in St. Louis have tripled on average this month.St. Louis News Headlines
ST. Louis City, Missouri (KMOV.com) – Health officials in the city of St. Louis reported a significant increase in daily COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
In December, the average number of cases for 7 days tripled to over 150 cases per day. In addition, reports show that the number of people tested for the virus is on the rise. As of Wednesday, 14.3 percent of people have been tested with preliminary data showing as high as 25 percent.
Dr. Mati Hlatshwayo Davis, Director of Health in St. Louis, said: “To turn these trends around, it’s important to focus on the proven and successful mitigations that have been emphasized throughout the pandemic.”
The Ministry of Health encourages everyone to use all the tools available to prevent the transmission of the virus.
