COVID-19 Informer: Palaszczuk opens up state, but only for Queenslanders | Mandurah Mail
The Queensland government is standing firm on keeping its border closed until July but has brought forward easing of other COVID-19 restrictions by almost two weeks.
Premier Annastacia Palaczczuk said that from tomorrow recreational travel within Queensland will be allowed. She also said that from tomorrow, cafes, restaurants and bars in Queensland will be able to hold 20 people.
Victoria has recorded four new cases of Covid-19 today. NSW has three new cases. In NSW, all three cases are recently returned travellers in quarantine.
In Victoria, Health Minister Jenny Mikakos two of the cases there are linked to a family outbreak in Keilor Downs. A hundred students across three schools in Victoria are self-isolating in relation to this cluster.
Ms Mikakos announced the state of emergency was to be extended until June 21.
In NSW pubs, beauty salons and museums reopen tomorrow and holiday travel is allowed within the state. NSW tested 9500 people on Saturday.
