Coronavirus: Weston Hospital Staff “Unknowingly Spread the Virus”

All staff have been tested for coronavirus since the outbreak was detected
According to the town’s MP, the outbreak of coronavirus at Weston General Hospital was due to staff who were unaware that they had the virus.
Conservative congressman John Penrose said the director of health told him “he didn’t come from nowhere.”
He said: “Some staff who didn’t know they had the virus were wandering around without any symptoms and without understanding it, spreading it.”
The hospital was temporarily closed on May 25.
“It wasn’t up to them [staff who had the virus but were showing no symptoms] Found in regular testing by everyone, “I have a problem here.”
“The hospital realized that it was not the answer to the problem, it was the actual risk.
“They blocked themselves very wisely,” Penrose added.

The North Somerset Council also said there is no current evidence that the virus has spread from a hospital outbreak to the wider community.
Local authorities said the cases in North Somerset did not appear to be “significantly higher than in other parts of the southwest,” and the cases were “downwardly trending.”
Public Health Debbie Stark, Regional Deputy Director for Southwest England, said:
“The cases in nursing homes and the wider community seem to be in line with other disciplines.
“This is the first step in a longer analysis to identify other concerns.”

Matt Lenny, Director of Public Health at the North Somerset Council, said:
“Even if additional cases are found in the last few weeks, the concentration of cases in our community is still in line with the rest of the Southwest.”
However, he said, “There is no room for self-satisfaction,” he added, “keeping vigilance to monitor the progress of the virus.”
The North Somerset Council has also announced that all schools in the area will be reopened on Monday, June 8th.
