Coronavirus Triggers Rare Syndrome, Left Three Children Hospitalized in Dublin, New Test Confirms
In a new test, COVID-19 was confirmed as a trigger for a rare and mysterious “inflammatory syndrome” that caused three children to be hospitalized in Dublin.
His illness has been likened to Kawasaki disease, a rare condition that causes a rash and red mouth and eyes.

Blood tests showing the presence of different types of antibodies to the virus have shown that all children have high levels of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. The antibody pattern indicated that the infection probably occurred weeks or months ago.
