The first country to mandate monkeypox quarantine in Belgium: Report

Belgium became the first country to require 21 days of quarantine for monkeypox patients after four cases of monkeypox were reported last week.

Belgian health officials made this decision on Friday, Saudi Gazette reported citing the Belgian media.

Monkeypox is a family illness similar to smallpox, and symptoms include a pronounced bumpy rash, fever, myalgia, and headache. Monkeypox is less deadly than smallpox and has a mortality rate of less than 4%, but experts are worried that the disease will spread abnormally beyond the normally endemic Africa.

According to Saudi Gazette, who quotes the Belgian daily Le Soir, the Belgian Institute for Tropical Medicine states that the risk of outbreaks in the country is low.

On Twitter, microbiologist Emmanuel Andre, who is in charge of the National Reference Institute for COVID-19 in Belgium on Saturday, said a fourth case was confirmed domestically.

“This patient is being treated in Wallonia and is associated with an Antwerp event that infected two others,” he tweeted about a festival in a port city in May.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the World Health Organization reported that there were a total of 92 confirmed cases in 12 countries and 28 suspicious cases were under investigation. Saudi Gazette reports have confirmed cases of Monkey Pox in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, the United States, Canada and Australia.

On May 7, a case of monkeypox was confirmed in the United Kingdom in a patient who recently traveled from Nigeria, according to the UK Health and Safety Agency.

On May 18, the Massachusetts Public Health Department confirmed a case of monkeypox virus infection in an adult male who recently traveled to Canada.

Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless.
