Manitoba reports increased COVID-19 deaths, 120 new hospitalizations-Winnipeg
Reports increased in Manitoba COVID-19 (new coronavirus infection) Death last week, according to state health data.

According to the latest government data, 120 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized last week, nine of whom were hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
The May 15-21 update reported 122 new hospitalizations and 21 ICU admissions due to the virus.
As a result of COVID-19, the state no longer reports the total number of people currently in the hospital or ICU.
Meanwhile, according to the state, 416 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the lab were reported last week, down from 537 cases last week.
With an average of 621 tests completed daily, the lab test positive rate dropped from 15.4% last week to 13%.
However, state cases do not necessarily provide accurate images of active infection rates, as the government has significantly reduced tests and does not include the results of tests performed at home.
Health officials said three new outbreaks were reported in long-term care facilities between May 22 and 28. New outbreaks have also been reported at Ericsson, Wawanesa, Altona hospitals, and Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg.
