COVID-19 cases continue to increase in the neighboring county, Clearfield. local
Coronavirus positive cases continue to increase in the region, with 11 cases reported in Center County, 3 cases in Clearfield County, and 1 each in Jefferson and Cumbria counties.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed on Tuesday that there were 510 more positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total for the state to 82,696. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have COVID-19 cases.
The total death toll from COVID-19 was 6,464, with 38 new deaths.
The counties in the Progressland region reflect the following positive cases and deaths:
- Clearfield — 70 positive, 1,978 negative, no deaths
- Cumbria — 62 positive cases, 6,613 negative cases and 3 deaths
- Center — 195 positive, 3728 negative, 6 dead
- Elk — 9 positive cases, 620 negative cases, no deaths
- Jefferson — 21 positive, 811 negative, 1 dead

• Nearly 1% are 0-4 years old.
• Nearly 7% are 19-24 years old.
• Nearly 37% are 25-49 years old.
• Nearly 25% are 50-64 years old. And
• Nearly 28% are over 65.
Most inpatients are over the age of 65, and most deaths occur in patients over the age of 65.
In nursing homes and personal care homes, COVID-19 has 17,294 residents and 3,082 employees, for a total of 20,376 people in 669 institutions in 49 counties. Of the total deaths, 4,410 occurred in residents of nursing homes or personal care facilities.
About 6,260 of all cases are healthcare workers.
