New Brunswick logs a week from new cases reported in state on Tuesday
New Brunswick urges residents to follow protective measures against COVID-19, even though it’s been a week since the new state was discovered.
In New Brunswick, there were 165 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 159 recovered.
Two new COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in New Brunswick, but two are hospitalized, one of whom receives intensive care.
The state reminds residents that they are encouraged to:
- Maintain a physical distance of 2 meters or 6 feet
- Wear a face mask if maintaining physical distance is difficult
- Limit contact with people at high risk, such as the elderly and people with chronic health conditions
- Frequent cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after preparing food, before eating, or after using the toilet
- Cough or sneeze into tissue before disposing of it as soon as possible
- Do not touch eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
All New Brunswick health zones remain in the yellow stage of the state’s COVID-19 recovery plan.
The state completed 408 additional tests on Monday, for a total of 43,162 tests.
There are five active cases remaining in the state, and New Brunswick has completed 171 tests since yesterday, for a total of 42,754 tests.
Travelers from outside the state will need to be self-isolated, while travelers from the Atlantic will be free to travel from 3 July.
