Boston-More than 2,000 monkeypox vaccines arrived in Massachusetts this week.

- Boston Medical Center Infectious Diseases Clinic (Boston): Reservations can be made by calling 617-414-4290 Monday-Friday between 9am and 5pm.
- Outer Cape Cod Health Service (Province Town): Reservations can be made by calling 508-905-2888 Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm.
DPH expects more vaccines to be available in the coming weeks and is urging providers to vaccinate as many people as possible with these initial doses. The vaccine is given twice and is injected every 28 days.
For best results, vaccines should be given within 4 days of exposure to monkeypox to reduce the likelihood of infection, or within 4-14 days to reduce the severity of symptoms. I am aiming for it.
