McHenry County reports 24 new cases with no additional deaths

In McHenry County, 24 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, McHenry County Department of Health said Wednesday. The county saw no further death on Wednesday.
McHenry County currently has 2,069 confirmed cases of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. The county reported a total of 97 deaths and two possible COVID-19-related deaths.
Of the cases in the county, 411 or 19.9% were associated with outbreaks in long-term care facilities. Of the 97 deaths in the county, 74 or 76.3% are associated with long-term care facilities, according to MCDH data.
MCDH reported a 94% recovery rate from COVID-19. Patients who have recovered are those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have been reported to be alive for at least 42 days after a positive test. Asymptomatic cases are excluded from county recovery rates calculations, according to the MCDH.
By age group, residents with aged ages of 50-59 had the highest number of 376 cases, 40-49 (338), 20-29 (308), 30-39 (292), 60. ~ 69 years old (262), 70-79 (150), 10-19 (127), 80-89 (108), 90-99 (66), 0-9 (40) and before 99 (2).
The number of deaths related to COVID-19 was the highest with 29 residents aged 80-89 years, 70-79 (28), 90-99 (16), 60-69 (14), 50- 59 people (8) and 40 people continue. -49 (1) and 99 and above (1).
Among the McHenry County postcodes, Woodstock (60098) had the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 350, followed by Crystal Lake (60014) with 314.

According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, there have been 9,752 COVID-19 cases in Lake County since the death of 418 people since the beginning of the Punkmic. The Kane County Health Department reported 7,792 confirmed cases and 272 deaths as of Wednesday.
