Monkeypox vaccination site coming to Staten Island: Here’s how to book
Staten Island, New York-People on Staten Island seeking vaccination against monkeypox will soon be able to do so without leaving the autonomous region.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Health announced plans to distribute thousands of monkeypox vaccines across five provinces in the coming weeks. A new Staten Island Vaccine Hub will open this weekend at New York City Health + Hospital / Gotham Health Vanderbilt Site 165. Clifton’s Vanderbilt Avenue.

Eligible public will have access to an appointment for 8,200 first-dose vaccinations, and an additional 4,000 doses will be available through referrals from community partner organizations that serve the highest-risk patients.
“We will continue to strive to meet the needs of New Yorkers who are at high risk of monkeypox infection and serious illness. Given the demand we have seen, we expect this upcoming release to proceed soon. We are working with our federal partners to get more doses as soon as possible, “Vasan said.
Due to the limited supply of vaccines, only those who appear to be at high risk can book at this time.
