CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Mecklenburg County health officials are warning residents to be vigilant after two confirmed cases of West Nile virus in humans in the county.
According to the county, North Carolina has a total of four confirmed cases, averaging two WNV cases by the end of August, so the increase is concerning.
“We know it’s a great time to be outdoors, but we want to make sure the public is taking precautions and protecting themselves.
