Seasonal fly vaccine drive-thru will be held in Kirksville on Wednesday

The Adare County Health Department will host the annual dose of seasonal flu vaccine at the NEMO Fairgrounds drive-thru on Wednesday, October 5, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, as long as supplies continue.
The Department of Health has a limited number of high-dose flu vaccines recommended for adults over the age of 65. These are managed on a first-come, first-served basis as long as supply continues during the drive-thru. Vehicles must enter and exit the fairgrounds from Paterson Street.
Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for children 3 years and older. The flu vaccine does not require registration and is available free of charge to Adare County residents. Medicare and Medicaid/MO HealthNet beneficiaries are asked to bring their insurance cards.
For flu vaccine drive-thru, please visit the Department of Health website and click on “Forms” in the upper right corner of the home page. To minimize waiting time, please print and complete the Flu Assessment Screening and Consent form or pick up the form at the Health Department clinic entrance prior to the drive-thru, complete it and bring it with you to the drive-thru event is recommended. Short sleeves or loose-fitting shirts are recommended to facilitate administration of the vaccine.
