India’s Covid-19 tally rises above 6.97 Lark, 19,693 dead-India News
On Monday, the Union Ministry of Health reported 24,248 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 425 deaths in the last 14 hours, pushing the overall count to 697,413.
India overtook Russia on Sunday and became the world’s third most affected country in terms of Covid-19 case counts. As the Worldometers data show, over 11 million infections and 536,776 have been reported worldwide.
According to the Ministry of Health’s dashboard, the country’s death toll is 19,693, with 253,287 active cases so far.

Between Sunday and Monday morning, 15,350 patients were cured and 424,432 were discharged from hospitals nationwide. The recovery rate has been increased to 60.85%.
Most Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra are 206,619, and the state has reported 8,822 deaths to date. Tamil Nadu, with 111,151 infections, is the second most severely affected state, with 1,510 deaths.
In the capital of Delhi, 99,444 people have had viral illness, with 3,067 deaths to date.
