Two Victorian Slaughterhouses Included in State’s New COVID Case
In Victoria, two slaughterhouse workers tested positive for COVID-19.
Two new cases will work at the JBS Slaughterhouse in Brooklyn and the Pacific Meats Slaughterhouse in Thomastown.

All staff at the JBS location have been screened for deadly viruses, and an outbreak team from the Health Department visits the workplace.
Pacific meat has been closed and all workers have been tested.
The news was announced as Victoria recorded 127 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 2660.
Two people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Monday morning Prime Minister Daniel Andrews announced that a man in his 90s had died.
Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos confirmed a few hours later that a man in his sixties had a second death.
This adds up to 22 deaths in the state.
The rapid increase in incidents has closed the border between Victoria and New South Wales.
“The best bet is to close the border,” Andrews said Monday.
“Because the closure will take place in New South Wales, we’re not wasting resources that are so heavily focused on fighting the virus today across the state.”
