Half of Virginia’s high school population is mysteriously sick
- Virginia schools missed nearly 1,000 students and some staff with flu-like symptoms.

Over the past week, nearly half of Virginia’s high school population and some teachers have been absent due to flu and gastrointestinal symptoms.
Sandra K. Osborne, Chief Communications Officer, Stafford County Public Schools, said: said in a statement. “Our medical services team is working with local health departments to identify the root cause of the illness.”
