Starting Thursday, Napa County will re-close businesses such as restaurants, bars and indoor wine tasting rooms amid a surge of coronavirus cases.

In a statement just before 5 pm on Monday, the county announced the impending reinstatement of regulations. It will be effective on Thursday at 12:01 AM. Restaurants, indoor tasting rooms, cinemas, museums, card rooms, and indoor entertainment venues must be closed until at least 30 July.

Also closed are breweries, breweries, pubs and bars for both indoor and outdoor services. Restaurants and other businesses are allowed to keep operating outdoors.

The announcement came several times after Napa County reported 60 new coronavirus infections on the weekend of July 4th-the largest increase in a single-local total amounted to 436.

According to a statement, on July 4, the county reported cases in the past two weeks reached 137.9 cases per 100,000. This figure put Napa on the watch list in California. This includes counties with more than 100 positive COVID-19 tests per 100,000 people. Counties that exceed that level for three consecutive days must impose a shutdown.
