Newly created compound can reverse effects of potentially deadly drug

P6AS successfully sequestered methamphetamine and a non-opioid stimulant called fentanyl in in vitro and in vivo experiments, reducing their potentially lethal biological effects. Additional in vitro studies have shown that P6AS also significantly adheres to other substances such as PCP, ecstasy, and mephedrone, raising the possibility that one day P6AS will be used to block various drugs.
