Sangun Area Does Not Report New COVID-19 Cases | Local
The Harrisburg-Tri-County Area escaped Thursday from being included in an additional positive COVID-19 case.
No new cases have been reported in Clearfield, Elk or Jefferson counties. There were no new cases in Blair, Cumbria or Center

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Thursday that there were an additional 719 positive cases of COVID-19, totaling 92,867 people across the state. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have COVID-19 cases.
The number of new cases in Allegheny County increased by 158 overnight. Philadelphia County increased by 161 overnight.
The number of tests performed since 2 July is 121,032 with 5,625 positive test results.
There were a total of 6,848 deaths due to COVID-19, with 36 new deaths reported.
“Because the entire state is in the green stage, we must continue to work to protect against COVID-19 by wearing masks, keeping our distance from the public and avoiding large gatherings,” said Secretary of Health. Dr. Rachel Levine said. “Pennsylvania was the national model for how to effectively resume using a carefully measured approach. But the virus hasn’t gone away, and we see an increase in cases, especially in southwestern Pennsylvania. “
Masks are required for all businesses and whenever leaving home. Wearing a consistent mask is essential to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
There are 635 patients with positive serologic tests and either COVID-19 symptoms or high-risk exposure, which are presumptive and not definitive. There are 787,156 patients who have been negative so far. The age breakdown of patients diagnosed positive to date is:
- Nearly 1% are 0 to 4 years old.
- 1% are 5-12 years old.
- Nearly 3% are 13-18 years old.
- Nearly 8% are 19-24 years old.
- 37% are 25-49 years old.
- Nearly 24% are 50-64 years old. And
- Nearly 27% are over 65.
Most inpatients are over the age of 65, and most deaths occur in patients over the age of 65.
We see a significant increase in COVID-19 cases in the younger age group, especially between the ages of 19 and 24. Alerts were sent to health care providers over the weekend as more demographic changes in the COVID-19 case were in the younger age group than in the 50-64 and 65+ age groups. In nursing homes and personal care homes, COVID-19 has 18,092 residents and 3,396 employees resident, totaling 21,488 at 732 different facilities in 55 counties. Of the total deaths, 4,667 occur in residents of nursing homes or personal care facilities. About 6,964 of all cases are healthcare workers.
