COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trials Launch in Colorado Springs – KRDO
The Colorado Springs, CO (KRDO)-COVID-19 vaccine competition is ongoing and is currently sponsored by the Southern Colorado.
A Colorado Springs research firm and UC Health have been selected for a vaccine trial and are looking for volunteers.

UC Health and CU School of Medicine will also participate in the trial, enrolling 1,000 patients, but the Lynn Institute is looking for about 200.
“They should generally be healthy and over the age of 18. If people have mild chronic illnesses such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, or even chronic lung disease, these people may be included in the study. I am very worried about protecting you.”
The trial will focus on those who are at the highest risk of developing COVID-19.

Potential participants will be contacted via UCHealth’s My Health Connection Patient Portal and will be invited to join if they meet the criteria for the study.
