Fake playground signs kids can use equipment
A fake billboard on a playground in Melbourne argues that it’s okay for kids to use playground equipment as it’s the “safest community group” when it comes to coronaviruses.

Fraudulent signs have been found on playgrounds in the municipal area of Kingston City in southern Melbourne, stating that children can use the device as long as social distance is maintained.

“The Kingston City Council recognizes that a strong immune system is the best defense against the current Covid 19 threat and children are the safest community group,” said the sign.
It adds that children can “maintain a healthy immune system best” by getting “normal vitamin D,” “normal physical activity,” and “healthy eating.”
“Keep all necessary social distance measurements while using the equipment in this park,” the sign reads.
Kingston City Council has issued a Facebook statement that the sign is “fraudling” and should not be followed.
“It was incredibly upsetting that someone tried to fake my signature and use the Kingston logo to mislead our community,” Ms. Oxley said.
“The playground is closed, and for good reason, to keep everyone in the United States safe, especially our youngest Kingston resident,” she wrote on Facebook.
