Experts say pink eyes are a new symptom of COVID-19

Miami –Doctors warn that pink eyes are now one of the symptoms of COVID-19.

The viral disease behind the pandemic, which is no longer a global emergency, remains a risk for people with weakened immune systems.

“So far, the disease we’ve seen is the same,” said Dr Eileen Marty, an infectious disease specialist at Florida International University.

According to the guidelines, the fourth vaccination, the second booster, is allowed at least 2-4 months after the first booster.

Mestre urged parents in South Florida to “not send their children to school if they have a fever or symptoms of a localized respiratory infection, whatever that may be.”
