Kathleen Forbigg releases first statement, saying she is ‘extremely sorry’ and ‘thank you’

Kathleen Forbigg, in her first statement since her release yesterday, said she was “extremely humbled” and “extremely grateful” for the pardon.

She called her release a great victory for “science and truth.”

This came after Mr. Chapman, a close friend of Mr. Forbigg’s, said at a press conference the day after his release speech that “there is no hatred” in Mr. Forbigg’s heart.

Forbigg, 55, spent his first day free since 2003 enjoying simple pleasures like a comfy bed, pizza, metal spoons and Kahlua and Coke, Chapman said on Tuesday. Told.

The pardon will prevent her from serving a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison.

Folbigg has already returned to living with Chapman near the town of Coffs Harbour, in northern New South Wales.
