Coronavirus vaccines show promising immune responses in animals, researchers at the University of Washington say
Researchers at the Microbiology Department at the University of Washington say that the coronavirus vaccine they are developing produced protective antibodies in mice and nonhuman primates in just one injection.

She added that her laboratory would observe these animals for an additional 4-6 months to ensure that the vaccine’s effects persisted.
“There are promising results showing that the antibody response isn’t diminished as usual and have been reported in convalescent patients,” Fuller said. “Instead, the antibodies seemed to rise and continue to persist.”
