State confirms additional 712 coronavirus cases

Madison, Wisconsin (WBAY)-On Wednesday, the state said 712 tests had returned to positive out of 14,780 test results, or 4.8%. Another 14,068 results were negative.

New cases were seen on Wednesday in 54 of 72 counties in Wisconsin, while cases were reported in 3 of 15 counties in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan.

Since early February, 44,847 people in Wisconsin were positive for coronavirus and another 764,630 people were negative.

Of those who tested positive after February, 4,225 required hospital treatment, accounting for 9.4% of all confirmed cases. This is a slight decrease from 9.5% on Tuesday and 9.6% on Monday.

According to the state, cases of 9,285 patients are still active and have not been excluded from quarantine. This was 20.7%, down from 21.2% on Tuesday and 21% on Monday’s report. That percentage on July 8 was 18%.

Prevention

• Coronaviruses are new or “new” viruses. No one has a natural immunity to it. Children and teens are most likely to recover from the virus.
