Quebec records 171 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily increase since early June
The number of cases of COVID-19 in Montreal-Quebec increased by 171 Saturday, with one of the highest daily increases since early June.
According to the state, two new people were killed. However, health officials added that the third death toll before July 18 was also added to the official number, resulting in an increase in total death toll.
This addition brings the total number of people infected in the state to 58,414 and the total death toll is 5,666.
Daily increase is one of the best since early June. On June 7, the same number of new cases 171 were reported. Since then, the only day with a daily increase was last Monday, July 20, with 180 new cases reported.
However, hospitalization continued to decline, as it has in the last few days. They were 14 years old.
The 12 people receiving intensive care are no different from Friday.
A total of 50,713 people have recovered from the virus in Quebec.
The worst affected area was Montreal, accounting for 85 new cases. Montereggie increased 34, Lorented increased 18 and Laval increased 11.
The distribution of cases among different age groups is virtually unchanged. The group with the largest share of cases is the people in their 40s, who make up 15% of the cases in Quebec, followed by 50%, and 14.3% of the cases.
