Over 1,200 new cases break 83K in total – CBS Baltimore
ANNAPOLIS (WJZ) — Maryland recorded more than 1,200 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, with more than 83,000 Maryland Department of Health data presented across the state.
This is the largest case recorded on the day with 1,734 changes recorded per night since May 19th.
The state is currently reporting 83,054 confirmed cases of COVID-19. An additional 11 died from the virus.

The positive rate for the entire state is 4.48%.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus increased by 12 to 545. Of the people in the hospital, 388 received emergency care and 157 received intensive care.
With 1,075,316 tests conducted across the state, the state-wide positive rate dropped to 4.48%. Of these, 742,272 were negative.
The state reported 33,874 tests per day, with 3.92% returning to positive.
