Coronavirus infection in Israel has surpassed 60,000 due to the rapid increase in infection

JERUSALEM (Reuters)-The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Israel has exceeded 60,000 on Saturday as the government struggles to stop the recovery.
The latest daily tally reported by the national Ministry of Health showed 1,770 new infections, reaching a total of 60,496 cases.
Israel, with a population of 9 million, has reported a total of 455 deaths from pandemics.
Israel was one of the first countries to impose a nationwide blockade and initially succeeded in stopping the outbreak. Daily cases with hundreds of numbers reduced to the lower two digits.
The government eased these restrictions in fear of economic damage-too early, then some authorities acknowledged-the infection rate rose again.
New sporadic closures of various sectors of the economy have deepened the public’s worries and stimulated daily demonstrations.
