COVID-19: Quebec reports 169 new cases as state strengthens testing capacity-Montreal
Quebec numbers continue to grow COVID-19 (new coronavirus infectious disease) (# If there is no character limit, add parentheses when first appearing State infectious disease, reporting 169 newly confirmed cases on Sunday.
The new case brings the total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Quebec to 58,583.
The state also reported one new death, bringing the total number of people killed by the new coronavirus to 5,667 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations has decreased by nine, bringing the total to 197. Ten of these patients are receiving intensive care, down two from Saturday.
The state has recently strengthened its testing capabilities — the latest data show that 16,387 tests were conducted on Friday 24 July. So far, 1,151,151 tests have been conducted since the health crisis.
Montreal is the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak and counts 28,475 confirmed cases.
Health officials say more than 50,700 people in Quebec have recovered from the virus.
