Covid outbreak at Craven Arms Caravan Park affects 21 people

Health authorities said the first three cases were associated with an outbreak in Wales.
21 people have been diagnosed as coronavirus-positive at the Caravans Park site in Shropshire, and health professionals have warned that the numbers will increase.
When the test started Two positive cases were confirmed last week at Craven Arms. This is related to the outbreak in Welshpool and recent local events.
The test site is currently located in a nearby business park, according to the Shropshire Council and the British Public Health Service.
All residents were told to self-isolate with their families.
The council said that 41 contacts have been tested so far and that all contacts are being followed because of the increased number of positive cases before infection control and social distance withdrawal began.
Isolation period
Persons who tested positive were asked to be quarantined for a minimum of 7 days from the time symptoms began to appear or when they were tested.
People who contacted positive cases were told to quarantine for 14 days, the council said.
A playground and outdoor gym at the nearby Newington Way were temporarily closed to prevent infections, and Congress said it had arranged food, prescription, and necessary supplies delivery to residents. It was
Church Stretton and Craven Arms councilor David Evans said the team is working with the NHS, public health England, police and other key agencies to provide advice and support to the community.

“We continue to rely on everyone on the site to play their part and encourage residents to remain self-isolated and take necessary precautions.
“This is the only way to help stop the spread of the virus.”
Authorities monitor people daily for symptoms, and PPE equipment, hand sanitizers, and cleaners are also distributed on-site.
