What's the news: AMA's new guide provides physicians and healthcare organizations with the information, tools, and resources they need to design and implement equity-centered strategies during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic .
Guides and workbooks—Incorporating equity into crisis preparedness and response in health systems—This book consists of four parts and provides recommendations for physicians and health care organizations to achieve and embed equity in crisis preparedness and response. One section presents 12 case studies with strategies for incorporating equity into emergency preparedness and response.
Another section features an action plan workbook that provides tools and resources to help health systems incorporate equity practices into their workflows during a crisis.
