Dehenna Davison MP highlights 'life-ruining' impact of migraines
Mr Davison said new treatments such as CGRP inhibitors were showing efficacy, but suggested a funding lottery based on postcode was preventing some patients from accessing treatments.
She said some people have been in “excruciating pain” and have been waiting years to see a specialist.
“People are missing work, canceling appointments with friends, missing out on social experiences they looked forward to, and feeling like they're a burden to their families,” she added.
“They have lost friends and relationships and feel like they are losing their sanity.”
