While fans may have liked to hate Jar Jar Binks upon the release of The Prequels, there has been a new appreciation for actor Ahmed Best and Jar Jar in general. Do you know who didn’t get the memo? Boba Fett actor Mark Anthony Austin.

What Austin didn’t expect was the backlash from fans who got mad at him for trying to make Best look; he probably hadn’t taken into account that that same kind of negative reaction to Jar Jar was the reason Best had considered suicide at one point. It’s certainly a great speech coming from someone who only played Boba Fett for a few seconds in the special edition of Star Wars: A New Hope.
