COVID-19 Update: Governor Abbott Holds Roundtable Meeting On Upcoming Flu Season
The Governor’s office said Abbott will be joined by state legislators, health professionals, and state agency leaders.

Governor Greg Abbott will host a roundtable on Thursday about state efforts to address the flu season during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The round table meeting will start at 11:30 am and the press conference will continue at 12:30 pm.
The governor’s office said it would take place at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Keene ISD staff members test positive
Keen ISD staff confirmed that the staff tested positive for COVID-19. District officials said officials received test results Wednesday. According to staff, the employee has not been on campus since July 30.
Employees are out of touch with any students and must follow school protocols before returning to campus, district officials said.
Keene ISD resumed face-to-face learning for the academic year on Tuesday.
Wiley ISD staff members test positive
Wiley ISD staff confirmed that Barnet Junior High School staff tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials said the employee was on campus last week as part of staff development activities, Staff were notified on Wednesday.
District officials said that depending on the date of isolation, staff may need to be rescheduled but school is ready to begin.
The first day of school is August 13th.
