“There are lots of medications that can help. There are a variety of treatments that can change how well you tolerate the heat,” Morrison said.

“Some of these will reduce sweating, while others will cause dehydration, and when you're dehydrated in the heat, these substances are less likely to leave your body,” Morrison said.
Some medicines, like antibiotics, not only have internal effects, but can also change how sensitive your skin is to UV rays, so Morrison recommends wearing sunscreen or long sleeves.
“When it's 90 percent temperature outside, you need to drink more water. If you feel yourself sweating, that means you're losing fluid,” Morrison said.

“If you're a very healthy person and you're not experiencing those symptoms and you know you've been outside for a period of time, that's probably a good indication that you've been exposed to the heat for a longer period of time,” Maxwell said.
There are signs that you should seek emergency medical attention.
“If someone has heatstroke, don't try to treat them,” Maxwell said. “They should seek medical attention right away.”
Heat is one of the most deadly weather hazards.
No one in Hamilton County has been taken to the hospital by ambulance with heatstroke this season, Maxwell said.
