Oldbury Storage Suite temporarily closed
The custody room where three members of the staff tested positive for coronavirus was reopened.
West Midlands police confirmed two patients last weekend in the Oldbury Conservation Area in Sandwell.
The affected people have been self-isolated for 10 days, the power said.
The block was reopened on Friday following a five-day “easy closure” followed by a “deep cleaning”.
The troops, with the support of the Sandwell Council and Public Health England, tracked “many staff” who had contacted infected colleagues, said they were now self-isolated.
In a statement, police did not say that the detainees were “assessed to have had significant contact” with the affected staff.
The outbreak closed for five days after the outbreak, and the detainees were transferred to a temporary facility at Bloxwich Police Station in Walsall.
The West Midlands police did not respond to requests for the roles of the affected people.
