9 deaths from MN, increased 806 infectious diseases – Twin Cities
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, COVID-19 killed up to 1,657 people in Minnesota, with nine deaths reported on Sunday.
The Health Department reported another 806 confirmed coronavirus infections, 58 fewer than Saturday’s report, with a total of 60,898 cases in Minnesota. According to state officials, the actual number of infections is expected to be much higher, as the data represent only those who were tested for the virus.
The deaths reported on Sunday included 1 in their 60s, 3 in their 70s, and 5 in their 80s. The dead were the counties of Dakota, Hennepin, Scott, Steel and Washington. Four out of nine people are from or coming from a nursing home.
Of all state deaths, 1,249 were residents of care or living support centers.

As of Sunday, there were 53,568 patients who recovered until they no longer needed isolation.
A total of 5,555 patients with COVID-19 have been admitted to Minnesota and 312 have been admitted on Sunday. Of these patients, 148 received intensive care, six less than Saturday’s critical condition.

Number of COVID-19 health workers: 6,805, 42 more than Saturday.
The most infected age group is 20-29 years old with 14,253 cases, 146 more than Saturday.
The age group with the highest number of deaths is 555 in the 80s.
