The most lonely Australian youth during a coronavirus pandemic, findings
More young people report feeling lonely during the COVID-19 pandemic, and studies also suggest that they are also most concerned about catching the virus.
Social impact company Socialsuite launched a COVID-19 survey earlier this year. 41% of people between the ages of 18 and 24 reported feeling lonely as a result of virus blockade, compared to an average of 29%.
A survey released Wednesday also found that 67% of 9411 respondents reported a June stress rating of 7 out of 10.
During the pandemic, people were most worried about losing contact with social networks, mental health, and losing contact with large families.
The survey was completed by people from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, East Africa and around the world.
As a result of the pandemic, 46 percent of people aged 18 to 24 were at risk of work, while 35 percent of people aged 25 to 34 were in jeopardy.
