Important strategic developments in epidemiology
• Geographical spread: Since 1 January 2024, as of 3 November 2024, a total of 18 Member States in the WHO African Region have reported mpox cases, 14 of which have active transmission. There is. Active infection is defined as a case reported in the past six weeks.
